Bonus Thoughts:
Here are some wise scriptures from the Bible on friendship that I think can help guide our decisions about who we allow to get close to us.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Proverbs 13:20-
Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
As a 7th grade small group leader at my church, I’m regularly talking to the tweens about their friendships and I often use these scriptures. However, as an adult these scriptures are just as important for me to take to heart because I should invest in my friendships that matter so that I always have someone to help up as well as have someone to help me up! Proverbs 13:20 is also important. Do you have a friend who’s dragging you, your peace of mind and your sanity into their crazy life drama? It might be time to lovingly take some space. You’ve got your own life, troubles and family to worry about.
We hope that you found some inspiration in today’s podcast and would love to hear from you in the comments section below.
